Fort Worth native Jamey Ice is a serial entrepreneur whose passion lies in restoration and making his city a more vibrant place to live.
Fort Worth native Jamey Ice is a serial entrepreneur who has built multiple successful businesses across real estate, marketing, hospitality, and music over the past two decades.
He studied philosophy at TCU and founded the band Green River Ordinance at age 15. Since then, he's built a career turning ideas into businesses and reimagining how industries work.
Beyond his companies, Jamey provides coaching and strategic guidance for entrepreneurs and small business owners.
With his wife Melissa, he launched BREWED, a successful coffee shop and restaurant that grew to three locations—Fort Worth's Near Southside, Bishop Arts in Dallas, and DFW Airport—before exiting in 2019.Jamey launched Fort Worth Title Co, bringing his entrepreneurial approach to the title industry. He also started Stories with Soul, a podcast where he interviews Fort Worth's leading entrepreneurs and artists. His passion for hospitality led to Casa De Ice and Casa De Camino, luxury vacation rentals and retreats in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He's currently developing a real estate fund focused on expanding his portfolio of luxury short-term rental properties.
A member of Paradox Church in downtown Fort Worth, Jamey's faith and philosophical background continue to shape his approach to business and life. He lives in a 100-year-old house in the Near Southside with his wife Melissa (founder of The NET, a non-profit serving women who have experienced exploitation, and The Worthy Co, a social enterprise providing dignified employment for trafficking survivors) and their daughters Roosevelt and Justice.
After signing with Capitol Records at age 21, Green River Ordinance achieved significant success in the music industry. The band released five full-length albums and multiple EPs, earning a #1 debut on the Billboard Americana / Folk Charts and #6 on the Billboard Country Charts. They had two Top 40 singles on pop rock radio, five #1 singles on Texas Country Radio, and placed three albums in the Billboard Top 100. Their music has appeared in over 70 TV shows and films, and they've shared stages with icons like Bon Jovi, Chris Stapleton, Sting, Train, Goo Goo Dolls, Zac Brown Band, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Blake Shelton, The Roots, Needtobreathe, Ben Rector and many more. The band stepped back from touring in 2016 to focus on their growing families but still reunites once or twice a year to perform together.
Following his years on the road, Jamey personally bought, restored, and sold over 120 properties in Fort Worth's Near Southside, playing a key role in the neighborhood's revitalization. When people kept asking for help buying homes like the ones he was creating, he recognized a gap: the traditional real estate industry wasn't serving people who wanted character over cookie-cutter. In 2016, he founded 6th Ave Homes, a one-stop shop for buying, selling, design, and renovation. Now operating in three cities, it employs over 70 professionals across real estate, interior design, floor plan drafting, construction, and outdoor living. The company has helped hundreds of families buy, sell, design, and renovate homes across North Texas.
In 2020, Jamey launched 6th Ave Storytelling in the middle of a pandemic. A marketer at heart, he built the company to provide story-driven marketing for small businesses and entrepreneurs. The company has gone on to work with some of Fort Worth's most beloved brands, transforming their branding, messaging, strategy, and digital presence. Both 6th Ave companies have been recognized as Small Business of the Year by the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce.
Beyond his companies, Jamey provides coaching, consulting, and strategic guidance for entrepreneurs, leaders, and small business owners. His impact on the business community has earned him recognition as Entrepreneur of the Year by the Fort Worth Business Press and placement on Fort Worth Inc's 400 Most Influential People list. He's also been named to the 40 Under 40 list and received Fort Worth Inc’s Entrepreneur of Excellence award.
Along the way, Jamey co-founded The 4Eleven, transforming a 20,000-square-foot warehouse on South Main into one of Fort Worth's premier event venues before exiting in 2022. He has also served as a developer and strategic partner on multifamily, hospitality, mixed-use, and retail projects for family offices, and has led the branding and marketing for large-scale developments, destination communities, and entire neighborhoods.
